“Works with Oura” can mean four different things. An app can be one of Oura’s direct partners, it can read what Oura writes to Apple Health or Health Connect, or it can pull your data through the Oura API. Each route carries different data, and the differences decide whether an app ever sees your HRV or your Readiness Score.
The short answer: Oura lists 18 direct partner apps in its support center, from Strava and Cronometer to Natural Cycles and Clue, and says the Oura App “syncs with hundreds of health and fitness apps via Apple Health and Health Connect by Android, including Flo and My Fitness Pal.”12 On a Gen3 ring or newer, the Apple Health, Health Connect and API connections, and some partners, need an active Oura Membership.1345
Every integration, data type and price below was checked on 1 November 2026 against Oura’s own support articles and API documentation, the partner apps’ own pages, the App Store and PubMed. SensAI makes a competing training app that reads Oura data through Apple Health, so we say where other apps get more from your ring than SensAI does.
What apps work with Oura Ring? The short answer
Oura-compatible apps connect four ways: 18 direct partners, Apple Health on iPhone, Health Connect on Android, and the Oura API. Apple Health gets sleep, heart rate and workouts but not HRV or scores; the API carries Readiness, HRV and temperature. On Gen3 and later, the hubs, the API and some partners need an active membership.1345
| Route | Who uses it | What Oura data crosses | Needs membership (Gen3+) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Direct partner integration | 18 apps in Oura’s list: Strava, Cronometer, Natural Cycles, Clue, Headspace and others1 | Depends on the partner, from temperature only (Natural Cycles) to scores, HRV and temperature in Cronometer67 | “Some of these integrations require an active membership”1 |
| Apple Health (iPhone) | Hundreds of iOS apps, including SensAI18 | Sleep with stages, 1-minute heart rate, active energy, steps, respiratory rate, workouts. No HRV, resting heart rate, temperature or scores38 | Yes, “Gen3 or later with active membership”3 |
| Health Connect (Android) | Android apps that read Health Connect4 | Activity, distance, exercise, steps, sleep, heart rate and heart rate variability4 | Yes, “Gen3 or later with active membership”4 |
| Oura API v2 | Third-party apps outside Oura’s partner list that sync directly, such as TrainingPeaks, intervals.icu and HRV4Training91011 | Daily Readiness, Sleep and Activity, sleep HRV, heart rate, temperature deviation, SpO2, workouts and more12 | Yes: partner apps “do not have access to the data of Gen3 and later users who do not have active Oura Membership”5 |
Oura support articles last updated between August 19 and October 29, 2026, and the Oura API v2 specification, checked 1 November 2026.
The pattern matters more than the list. Your three Oura scores (Readiness, Sleep and Activity) never reach Apple Health. An iPhone app that reads Apple Health can rebuild a picture from raw sleep and heart rate, but it cannot show your Oura score unless it is an API or partner app.312
What are the best apps to use with Oura Ring?
It depends on the job. For training with your Oura HRV, TrainingPeaks or the free intervals.icu. For nutrition, Cronometer. For fertility, Natural Cycles or Clue. For glucose, Stelo (US only). For sharing workouts, Strava. For an iPhone coach that adjusts to your sleep and heart rate, SensAI, though without Oura’s HRV.91076113148
| If you want to… | Best fit | What it gets from Oura | Cost of the app |
|---|---|---|---|
| Train with Oura HRV in your plan | TrainingPeaks | Sleep, HRV and stress scores in Health Insights9 | Health Insights is a Premium feature9 |
| The same, for free | intervals.icu | Sleep, HRV, readiness and other wellness fields10 | “Free online training platform”10 |
| See how food affects sleep | Cronometer | Sleep and Readiness Scores, sleep HRV, temperature, heart rate, activity7 | Free sign-up7 |
| Birth control or fertility | Natural Cycles | Temperature trend only6 | Needs its own subscription6 |
| Cycle tracking | Clue | “Sleep, RHR, HRV, and temperature trends”1 | Not stated by Oura |
| Glucose with your ring data | Dexcom Stelo | Glucose into Oura, US only13 | Needs a Stelo account and Oura Membership13 |
| Share workouts with friends | Strava | Workouts both ways, Readiness and Activity Scores14 | Oura names no Strava plan requirement14 |
| A coach that adjusts sessions to sleep (iPhone) | SensAI | Sleep, overnight heart rate and workouts via Apple Health; no HRV or scores8 | $6.99/month or $69.99/year after a 7-day trial15 |
Each app’s own page, Oura’s support articles and the US App Store, checked 1 November 2026. On Gen3 or later rings, Apple Health, the API, Strava, Natural Cycles and Stelo all need an active Oura Membership, and Oura says some other partners do too.13514613
Oura’s official partner integrations: the full 2026 list
Oura’s Partner Integrations article, last updated October 7, 2026, lists 18 direct partner apps in five categories: Additional Sensing (Dexcom Stelo), Fitness, Nutrition, Stress & Resilience, and Women’s Health. You find them in the Oura App’s menu under Integrations, and “some of these integrations require an active membership.”1
| Partner | Category | What it does with Oura data, per Oura |
|---|---|---|
| Dexcom Stelo | Additional Sensing (US only) | Glucose readings from the Stelo biosensor appear in the Oura App113 |
| CorePower Yoga | Fitness | Shows “Oura readiness, sleep, and stress data” in the CorePower Yoga app1 |
| Strava | Fitness | Workouts both ways; Readiness and Activity Scores sent to Strava14 |
| The Sculpt Society | Fitness | Uses “Oura Readiness Scores to provide daily workout suggestions”1 |
| Cronometer | Nutrition | “Improve your nutrient intake with synced sleep and activity data”1 |
| Zero | Nutrition | Fasting data and Oura biometrics “in correlated graphs”1 |
| Apollo Neuro | Stress & Resilience | Vibration wearable for “sleep and stress-relief”1 |
| Headspace | Stress & Resilience | “Fifteen of Headspace’s breathwork and meditation tracks are integrated into the Oura App”1 |
| Migraine Buddy | Stress & Resilience | Layers “sleep and cycle data” onto migraine logs1 |
| Open | Stress & Resilience | Imports sleep data to track “how mindfulness practices impact your Sleep Score”1 |
| Alloy Health | Women’s Health | Shares Oura biometric data with your menopause-care doctor1 |
| Clue | Women’s Health | Receives “Sleep, RHR, HRV, and temperature trends”1 |
| Mira | Women’s Health | Combines “Oura sleep and temperature trend data” with hormone readings1 |
| Natural Cycles | Women’s Health | Temperature trend data only, for its FDA-cleared fertility algorithm6 |
| Oova | Women’s Health | Combines Oura data with “daily hormone insights”1 |
| Peanut | Women’s Health | Uses “Oura Sleep data to support postpartum users”1 |
| Stardust | Women’s Health | Syncs “your cycle and biometrics for daily insights”1 |
| Twentyeight Health | Women’s Health | Birth control and women’s health platform integration1 |
Oura, “Partner Integrations,” last updated October 7, 2026. Oura also lists Health Panels, its own lab-testing service, under Additional Sensing; it is not a third-party app, so it is not counted here.
Two things stand out. Women’s health is the largest group, with eight of the 18 partners. And only a handful of partners are training apps: Strava, CorePower Yoga and The Sculpt Society. If you want Oura recovery data inside a structured training plan, most of your options sit outside this list, on the API (see below).
What does Oura send to Apple Health, and what stays behind?
Oura writes active energy, heart rate in one-minute intervals, respiratory rate, sleep with stages, steps, workouts, workout routes, height, weight and mindful minutes to Apple Health. It does not write HRV, resting heart rate, body temperature or its Readiness, Sleep and Activity Scores. Gen3 and later need an active membership.38

Oura, “Apple Health Integration,” last updated October 14, 2026: the “Exported from Oura to Apple Health” and “Imported from Apple Health to Oura” lists. ❌ = absent from Oura’s export list.3
That export list matches SensAI’s Help Center, which says Oura “does not write HRV or resting heart rate.”8 It also explains why the same night can look different in two apps. Oura itself warns that “your sleep stages and heart rate graphs may appear differently in the Oura App compared to Apple Health,” because Apple may round or use different time intervals.3
Why doesn’t Oura send HRV to Apple Health?
Oura doesn’t say. It simply leaves HRV off its Apple Health export list, though it does send HRV to Android’s Health Connect. One possible factor: Oura’s dashboard HRV is rMSSD, Apple Health stores SDNN, and HRV values from different metrics and recording lengths are not interchangeable.3481617
Shaffer and Ginsberg’s review of HRV metrics stresses that measurement context, including recording length, changes the values, and cautions that “24 h, short-term, and ultra-short-term normative values are not interchangeable.”16
Cao and colleagues found Oura’s own dashboard metric, RMSSD, tracked a medical-grade ECG with “relatively low error variance,” while SDNN computed from the ring’s beat intervals had wider confidence intervals in 5-minute windows.17 So even where the data could move, an rMSSD number and an SDNN number are not the same measurement.
For an iPhone user, the practical result is simple. Any app that only reads Apple Health will not see your Oura HRV. To use Oura HRV in another app, that app needs the API or a partner integration. We cover the HRV-specific options in the best HRV apps that work with Oura Ring and WHOOP.
Does Oura work with Android Health Connect?
Yes. On Android, Oura writes activity, active calories, distance, exercise, steps, height, weight, sleep, heart rate and heart rate variability to Health Connect, and reads blood pressure, heart rate, power, VO2 max, weight and calorie data back. Gen3 and later need an active membership. Oura’s Google Fit integration “is no longer available.”4
This is the one place where Android users get more than iPhone users: HRV is on Oura’s Health Connect export list but not on its Apple Health list.43 Oura’s article was last updated August 19, 2026, and says Health Connect “stores data on your mobile device instead of the cloud.”4
Do you need an Oura Membership to use other apps?
On Gen3 and later rings, yes. Apple Health, Health Connect, Strava, Natural Cycles and Stelo all list “Gen3 or later with active membership,” and API partner apps cannot see data from Gen3+ members without one. Membership costs $5.99 a month or $69.99 a year in the US. Gen2 rings need no membership.3451814613

Oura support articles on Apple Health, Health Connect, Strava, Natural Cycles, Stelo, the Oura API and Oura Membership, last updated August 19 to October 29, 2026.3451814613
Oura’s membership article says that without an active membership “you’ll only be able to see your three daily Oura scores (Readiness, Activity, and Sleep), ring battery, basic profile information, app settings, and the Explore content,” and that “you cannot access the Oura API, but you can still download your personal data through the Membership Hub.”18
New members get one included month, and “there currently is no option to purchase or upgrade to a Lifetime Membership.”18
One more change for 2026: “Oura on the Web has been discontinued as of October 5, 2026.” Your data stays in the app and in the Membership Hub export.18
Free apps that work with Oura Ring
“Free” usually means the other app is free, not the connection. On a Gen3 or newer ring, Apple Health, Health Connect and the API all need a $5.99-a-month Oura Membership. With one, Apple Health and Health Connect cost nothing, intervals.icu is a free training platform with direct Oura sync, and many Apple Health apps are free to download.341810
| App | Price of the app | How it gets Oura data | What it gets |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple Health | Free, built into iPhone | Oura’s Apple Health switch | Sleep, heart rate, workouts, steps, energy, respiratory rate3 |
| Health Connect | Free, Android | Oura’s Health Connect switch | Adds HRV to the above4 |
| intervals.icu | “Free online training platform”10 | Direct auto-sync from Oura10 | Sleep, HRV, readiness and other wellness fields10 |
| Welltory | Free download, US App Store19 | Apple Health or Health Connect | Sleep and activity; Oura is “No” for HRV in Welltory’s table20 |
| Strava | Oura’s article names no Strava plan requirement14 | Direct partner | Workouts both ways, Readiness and Activity Scores14 |
| Cronometer | “Sign Up – It’s Free”; its Oura post doesn’t say whether the sync needs Gold7 | Direct partner | Sleep and Readiness Scores, sleep HRV, temperature variation, respiration, all-day heart rate, activity and workouts7 |
Prices from each app’s own page or the US App Store, checked 1 November 2026. Natural Cycles and HRV4Training are not free: Natural Cycles needs its own subscription and HRV4Training costs $9.99.619
If you already own a Gen2 ring, it needs no membership and keeps Apple Health, Health Connect, Strava and Natural Cycles (which needs its own subscription). But Gen2 cannot run newer features such as Stelo glucose.341814613
Which third-party apps read Oura through the Oura API?
API apps get the most Oura data: daily Readiness, Sleep and Activity scores, nightly HRV, heart rate, temperature deviation, SpO2, workouts, VO2 max and more, through OAuth2. Personal access tokens “were deprecated in December 2025,” so home-made scripts now need a registered app. TrainingPeaks, intervals.icu and HRV4Training advertise direct Oura connections; HRV4Training says it uses Oura’s API.12591011
| App | What it says it reads from Oura | Caveats |
|---|---|---|
| TrainingPeaks | “Sleep, HRV and stress scores” into its Health Insights dashboard9 | Health Insights is listed as a TrainingPeaks Premium feature9 |
| intervals.icu | Sleep, HRV, readiness and other wellness fields; “auto-sync from … Oura”10 | Free platform10 |
| HRV4Training | “HR, HRV and sleep data from Oura,” read from Oura’s cloud11 | Its own 2022 post called the link “very unreliable” and recommends Manual Input21 |
| Cronometer | Readiness and Sleep Scores, sleep HRV, temperature, heart rate, activity; official partner71 | Nutrition app; not a training planner |
Each app’s own page, checked 1 November 2026.
The API’s OAuth scopes show what an app can ask for: email, personal info, daily summaries “of sleep, activity and readiness,” time-series heart rate, workouts, tags, sessions, SpO2 and heart health.12 Its sleep records carry an average_hrv field, and its readiness records carry temperature_deviation.12 That is why an API app can show the HRV and Readiness that Apple Health never receives.
There is one catch. Oura’s support article says “Gen3 and later users without active Oura Membership can’t access their data through the Oura API,” and neither can the partner apps they connect.5 Cancel the membership and every API app goes quiet, even though your data stays downloadable.518
HRV4Training is the clearest example of why “works with Oura” needs a date. Its FAQ says “we integrate directly with Oura’s APIs,” but its August 2022 Manual Input post says the link “has resulted in very unreliable data connection due to Oura’s API having quite a few problems,” and asks Oura users to type in their average night heart rate and HRV instead.1121
Does Oura work with Strava?
Yes, both ways. Oura sends Strava workouts recorded with Activity Heart Rate plus your Readiness and Activity Scores, and imports Strava workouts so they count toward your Activity Score. Imports run for the current day only, and auto-detected or manually added Oura activities are not exported. Gen3+ needs membership.14
Oura’s Strava article, last updated October 14, 2026, adds that “activities cannot be imported retroactively,” and that a workout recorded on both platforms “will only appear once in the Oura App with the most reliable recorded data.”14 On Android, GPS maps “will not initially export from Oura to Strava.”14 For the device-by-device view from Strava’s side, see what syncs with Strava in 2026.
Which nutrition, cycle and glucose apps work with Oura?
Nutrition: Cronometer and Zero are direct partners, and MyFitnessPal connects through Apple Health or Health Connect. Women’s health: eight partners, including the cycle and fertility apps Natural Cycles, Clue, Mira and Oova. Glucose: only Dexcom’s Stelo biosensor, US only, with glucose flowing one way into Oura.1613
Natural Cycles receives “only temperature trend data… No period data or other Oura metrics are transferred,” and you need a Natural Cycles subscription.6 Clue gets more: “Sleep, RHR, HRV, and temperature trends.”1
The temperature signal these apps rely on is real. In a study of 26 women over a full cycle, Oura-measured distal skin temperature and heart rate during sleep “showed a biphasic pattern,” rising in the mid- and late-luteal phases.22
Stelo’s link is narrow. Oura’s article says “we currently integrate only with the Stelo biosensor. Other sensors or continuous glucose monitors, including other Dexcom devices, aren’t supported,” and “Oura does not send any data back to Stelo.”13
How accurate is the Oura data these apps receive?
Good for sleep timing and overnight heart rate and HRV, weaker for sleep stages. Independent ECG work rates Oura Gen4 HRV at a concordance of 0.99, and polysomnography studies report sleep-wake accuracy of about 92–96%, though the earliest found only 48% specificity for wake. Many validation papers are Oura-employed or Oura-funded.23242526
| Study | What was tested | Key finding | Funding / COI |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dial et al., Physiol Rep 202523 | Nocturnal RHR and HRV, 5 wearables vs ECG, 536 nights | HRV: Oura Gen4 CCC 0.99 (MAPE 5.96%), Gen3 0.97; WHOOP 0.94; Garmin 0.87; Polar 0.82 | Authors declare no competing interests |
| Cao et al., J Med Internet Res 202217 | Oura nocturnal HR/HRV vs chest ECG, 35 adults, at home | Low mean biases; RMSSD had “relatively low error variance” | None declared |
| Kinnunen et al., Physiol Meas 202027 | Nightly HR and HRV vs ECG, 49 adults | r² = 0.996 (HR) and 0.980 (HRV); bias −0.63 bpm and −1.2 ms | First author affiliated with Oura Health |
| de Zambotti et al., Behav Sleep Med 201926 | Oura vs polysomnography, 41 adolescents/young adults | 96% sensitivity for sleep, 48% specificity for wake; deep sleep underestimated ~20 min, REM overestimated ~17 min | NIH-funded (NCANDA); Oura supplied technical details and epoch data |
| Svensson et al., Sleep Med 202424 | Gen3 with OSSA 2.0 vs multi-night PSG, 96 adults | Accuracy 91.7–91.8%; staging 75.5% (light) to 90.6% (REM) | Financial support from Oura Health Oy |
| Altini & Kinnunen, Sensors 202125 | 440 nights, 106 people, PSG vs ring | 2-stage accuracy 96%; 4-stage 79% | Both authors affiliated with Oura Health |
| Robbins et al., Sensors 202428 | Oura Gen3, Fitbit Sense 2, Apple Watch 8 vs PSG, 35 adults | Oura stage sensitivity 76.0–79.5%; “not different from PSG” for wake, light, deep, REM | Funded by Oura Ring Inc.; first author on Oura’s Medical Advisory Board |
| Smarr et al., Sci Rep 202029 | Ring temperature and fever, first 50 COVID-19 cases | Illness-linked temperature rises were “observable using wearable devices” | Oura funded; one author an Oura employee |
All studies verified on PubMed, 1 November 2026. CCC = Lin’s concordance correlation coefficient; MAPE = mean absolute percentage error; PSG = polysomnography.
Dr. Massimiliano de Zambotti of SRI International’s Center for Health Sciences, who led the first polysomnography comparison, called the early results “promising” but wrote that “future development and validation are needed.”26 Later work by Rebecca Robbins and colleagues at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School found Oura Gen3 “not different from PSG” on any sleep stage estimate in healthy adults, in a study funded by Oura Ring Inc.; Robbins also sits on Oura’s Medical Advisory Board.28
The 2025 study, by an Ohio State University and Air Force Research Laboratory team declaring no competing interests, found the two Oura rings (Gen3 and Gen4) agreed most closely with ECG for both overnight resting heart rate and HRV, ahead of WHOOP 4.0, Polar and, for HRV, Garmin; Garmin was excluded from the resting heart rate analysis.23
For the apps on this page, that means apps that receive Oura’s HRV, through the API, a partner integration or Health Connect, are getting a number that independent ECG testing rates highly.
Should one night’s HRV change your training?
No. HRV is most useful as a trend. In a 2013 review, Daniel Plews (then at High Performance Sport New Zealand) and colleagues recommend “appropriate averaging techniques” because single-day HRV can mislead, especially in elite athletes. Whichever app reads your Oura HRV, judge it by its rolling average.30
Plews’s review notes that in elite athletes “both increases and decreases in HRV” have been tied to poor adaptation, and recommends averaging over several days rather than reacting to one morning.30
HRV4Training’s guidance points the same way: wearables “use slightly different methods and sensing locations,” so their data is “not interchangeable, but the relative changes… are.”21
Marco Altini, a co-author of Oura’s sleep-staging paper listed at Oura Health and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam on that paper, showed why the extra signals matter: adding autonomic (heart-rate-derived) and circadian features lifted four-stage accuracy from 57% to 79%.25
Where does SensAI fit?
SensAI is an AI coach for iPhone and Apple Watch that reads Oura through Apple Health. From Oura it gets sleep with stages, one-minute heart rate, active energy, steps, respiratory rate and workouts, but not HRV, resting heart rate or Readiness. It costs $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year after a 7-day free trial.815
SensAI does not link to your Oura account. Per its Help Center, “your device’s own app writes your workouts, heart rate, and sleep into Apple Health on your iPhone, and SensAI reads them from there.”8
It adds that “sleep and overnight heart rate from your device shape how hard Coach asks you to push on a given day.”8 To set it up, follow how to connect a wearable to SensAI through Apple Health.
The limits are the Apple Health limits above. “Their proprietary scores never cross, and, apart from Apple Watch, neither does HRV.”8 If you want your Oura HRV inside a training app, TrainingPeaks and intervals.icu both import it, and intervals.icu also lists readiness; SensAI does not.910 SensAI is also young: 39 US App Store ratings (4.6 average).15
Where SensAI is different is what it does with the data it does get: a coach that writes your next session, a plan you change by typing (“Smart Modify can shorten your workout, change its intensity, or shift its focus. Just type what you need.”), and completed workouts synced back to Apple Health.15 SensAI needs iOS 26 or later.15
For the full device-by-device Apple Health picture, see Oura, WHOOP and Garmin Apple Health integration: what syncs.
Why isn’t Oura syncing with my other apps?
Often because the Oura App hasn’t run. Oura says integrations may not sync “if both apps were not opened before midnight,” if Background App Refresh is off, or if Low Power Mode is on. Open both apps once a day. A lapsed Gen3+ membership also stops Apple Health, Health Connect, the API and partners that require it.135
| Symptom | Likely cause, per Oura |
|---|---|
| Nothing new in Apple Health or Health Connect | Oura App not opened before midnight, Background App Refresh off, or Low Power Mode on34 |
| Steps counted twice | Two devices writing steps; Oura suggests making it the priority steps source or turning its steps off3 |
| Height, weight or age locked in Oura | Imported from Apple Health or Health Connect; unlink to edit3 |
| Old Strava workouts missing in Oura | Oura imports the current day only14 |
| API or partner app stopped updating | Gen3+ membership lapsed5 |
| Calories differ from other apps | Oura records active calories only, not BMR3 |
If the app you’re fixing is SensAI, its Help Center covers what to check: connect a wearable to SensAI through Apple Health.
Frequently asked questions
What apps work with Oura Ring?
Oura lists 18 direct partners: Dexcom Stelo, CorePower Yoga, Strava, The Sculpt Society, Cronometer, Zero, Apollo Neuro, Headspace, Migraine Buddy, Open, Alloy Health, Clue, Mira, Natural Cycles, Oova, Peanut, Stardust and Twentyeight Health. Hundreds more read Oura through Apple Health, Health Connect or the Oura API.112
Are there free apps that work with Oura Ring?
Yes, but on Gen3 or later the Apple Health, Health Connect and API connections need a $5.99-a-month Oura Membership. With it, Apple Health, Health Connect and intervals.icu are free, Cronometer has a free sign-up and Welltory is a free download.1810719
What are the best apps to use with Oura Ring?
TrainingPeaks or intervals.icu for training with your Oura HRV, Cronometer for nutrition, Natural Cycles or Clue for cycles and fertility, Stelo for glucose in the US, and Strava for sharing workouts. On iPhone, SensAI uses your Oura sleep and heart rate to adjust your sessions.91076113148
Can third-party apps access Oura data?
Yes, three ways: as one of Oura’s 18 partners, through Apple Health or Health Connect, or through the Oura API with OAuth2. On Gen3 or later rings, API apps can’t see your data unless your Oura Membership is active.134512
Does Oura work without a membership?
Barely. Without one, a Gen3 or newer ring shows only your three daily scores, battery, profile, settings and Explore content, and it cannot use the API, Apple Health, Health Connect or Strava integrations. You can still export your data as CSV. Gen2 rings need no membership.3451814
Does Oura sync HRV to Apple Health?
No. HRV, resting heart rate, temperature and Oura’s scores are not on Oura’s Apple Health export list. Oura does send HRV to Android’s Health Connect.34
Does Oura work with TrainingPeaks?
Yes. TrainingPeaks says your Oura “sleep, HRV and stress scores” populate its Health Insights dashboard, which it lists as a TrainingPeaks Premium feature.9
Does Oura work with MyFitnessPal?
Not directly. Oura names MyFitnessPal among the apps it reaches through Apple Health and Health Connect. Cronometer and Zero are Oura’s direct nutrition partners.1
Does Oura work with Garmin or Apple Watch?
Oura has no Garmin partner integration on its list.1 Garmin data and Oura data can meet in Apple Health, and Oura imports Apple Health workouts.3 For Apple Watch, Oura has a companion app and complications that mirror your Readiness, Sleep and Activity Scores, heart rate, HRV and body temperature on the watch (Gen2, or Gen3+ with membership, iOS only).31
Can I use the Oura API with a personal access token?
No. Oura’s API documentation says “personal access tokens were deprecated in December 2025 and are no longer available for use.” You now register an API application and use OAuth2.12
The bottom line
Most apps that “work with Oura” only get part of it. Apple Health apps see sleep, heart rate and workouts. Health Connect apps add HRV. API apps such as TrainingPeaks and intervals.icu add HRV, and intervals.icu lists readiness. On Gen3 or later, Apple Health, Health Connect and the API all need a $5.99-a-month membership.34518
Pick the route by what you need. To log workouts and sleep alongside everything else, Apple Health or Health Connect is enough. To bring Oura’s HRV and Readiness into a training plan, use an API app. To have a coach adjust your sessions from sleep and overnight heart rate on iPhone, SensAI reads Oura through Apple Health, minus the HRV and scores Oura keeps to itself.8910
